HCU Anamix junior

Important notice: For enteral use only. Not for parenteral use. Must be used under medical supervision. Not suitable for use as a sole source of nutrition. Suitable for children 1 to 10 years of age. Only to be used by individuals with proven vitamin B6 non-responsive homocystinuria (HCU)/CBS deficiency or hypermethioninemia.

This product should not be used as a sole source of protein but must be given in conjunction with a protein source to supply the methionine, fluid and general nutrition requirements of the patient in quantities as prescribed by a clinician or dietitian.

The recommended dosage and timing of intake is dependent on the age, bodyweight and medical condition of the patient, and should be determined by a dietitian or clinician only.

Pour the required volume of cold water into a container. Add the prescribed quantity HCU Anamix junior and shake until the powder has dissolved. Water or additional fluid should be offered or taken at the same time as HCU Anamix junior to ensure adequate fluid intake.

Recommended feed dilution:
36g of product made up to a final volume of approximately 126ml with water.

1 sachet = 36g powder
1 sachet + 100ml water = approximately 126ml
One sachet (36g) provides 10g protein equivalent

Can be made as a drink with 50 - 100ml of water or into a paste with 10ml of water.*
Shake or stir the product immediately before use. If given orally, best serve chilled.

*Should be consumed with a glass of water.

Store in a cool, dry place away from sunlight.
Use sachet immediately after opening.
Once reconstituted, keep refrigerated and use within 24 hours. Shake or stir immediately before use.
