TYR Anamix Infant (inc methionine)

For enteral use only. Not for parenteral use. Must be used under medical supervision. Not suitable as a sole source of nutrition. For use in infants and as a supplementary feed in young children. Only to be used by patients with proven tyrosinaemia when plasma methionine is normal.

This product should not be used as a sole source of protein but must be given in conjunction with a protein source e.g. breast milk or proprietary infant formula to supply the tyrosine, phenylalanine, fluid and general nutritional requirements of the infant in quantities as prescribed by a clinician or dietitian.

Suggested intake: The quantity of feed and the dilution should be determined by a clinician or dietitian only, and is dependent on age, bodyweight and medical condition of the patient.

Recommended feed dilution:
The recommended feed concentration is 15% w/v (15g of product made up to a final volume of approximately 100ml with water). Osmolality at this concentration is 380 mOsmol/kg H2O.

1 levelled scoop = 5g powder
3 levelled scoops + 90ml water = approximately 100ml
One portion (15g) provides 2g protein equivalent.

Use immediately after reconstitution. Formula must not be rewarmed during feeding.

Store in a cool, dry place.
Once opened, use within two weeks. Always replace container lid after use.
Prepared feed: Formula remaining in the bottle after one hour of feeding should be discarded.
