PKU Synergy is a phenylalanine free powdered mixture of amino acids with carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals and trace elements. Contains docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). For the dietary management of proven phenylketonuria (PKU) or hyperphenylalaninemia (HPA) in children 10 years and over, and adults.

PKU Synergy is a unique product developed for people on a relaxed PKU diet or returning to diet. The product has an optimised micronutrient, essential amino acid and DHA* profile, providing these nutrients that may be lacking and helping to prevent nutritional deficiencies whilst taking BH4** or following a relaxed PKU diet.^1,2,3

PKU Synergy is a phenylalanine free powdered mixture of amino acids with carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals and trace elements. Contains docosahexaenoic acid (DHA).

A mildly citrus-flavoured, phenylalanine-free***, powdered mixture of amino acids containing carbohydrates, vitamins, and selected minerals and trace elements. With sugar and sweetener. Contains docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). It is suitable for use from 10+ years old. The recommended daily dosage is one sachet per day.

Pack size: 33g sachet (containing 20g protein equivalent)

Not suitable as a sole source of nutrition. Not suitable for children under the age of 10 years.

Must be used under medical supervision. For enteral use only. Suitable for children 10 years of age and over, and adults with proven phenylketonuria or hyperphenylalaninemia (with an increased PHE-tolerance/intake). Must be supplemented with a source of natural protein, fluid, and other nutrients in medically prescribed quantities to supply the phenylalanine, fluid, and general nutrition requirements of the patient, which may include additional vitamin and mineral supplementation. PKU Synergy contains a trace of phenylalanine at a level of less than 1mg per 33g sachet serving. If necessary, this must be accounted for in the diet.

The recommended dosage and timing of intake is dependent on the age, bodyweight and medical condition of the patient, and should be determined by a dietitian or clinician only. Water or diluted drinks should be offered or taken at the same time. To ensure tolerance the product may initially need to be introduced at a lower concentration. The quantity and dilution of this product can be adapted to the tolerance and preferences of the individual under supervision of a clinician or dietitian.

Recommended feed dilution:
33g of product made up to a final volume of approximately 120ml with water.

1 sachet = 33g powder
1 sachet + 100ml water = approximately 120ml
One sachet (33g) provides 20g protein equivalent

Shake well before use.
Best prepared with chilled water and consumed immediately after preparation.

Store in a cool, dry place.

Once sachet is opened, use immediately.
