TYR Lophlex Neutral

Must be used under medical supervision. Not suitable as a sole source of nutrition. Not suitable for children under 3 years of age. Not suitable for tube feeding. Only intended for use by individuals with proven tyrosinaemia (TYR).

This product must be supplemented with natural protein, fluid and other nutrients in medically prescribed quantities to supply the tyrosine, phenylalanine and general nutrition requirements of the patient. Please monitor micronutrient intake to ensure that individual’s intakes are optimal. The product contains only trace amounts of sodium, potassium and chloride.

The recommended dosage and timing of intake is dependent on the age, bodyweight and medical condition of the patient, and should be determined by a dietitian or clinician only.

The required daily amount should be divided into equal portions and distributed throughout the day. Water or diluted drinks should be offered or taken at the same time. To ensure tolerance the product may initially need to be introduced at a lower concentration. The quantity and dilution of this product can be adapted to the tolerance and preferences of the individual under supervision of a clinician or dietitian.

Recommended feed dilution:
28g of product made up to a final volume of approximately 80ml.

1 sachet = 28g powder
1 sachet + 65ml water = approximately 80ml
One sachet (28g) provides 20g protein equivalent

Best prepared with chilled water and consumed immediately after preparation.
Do not boil and do not use a microwave oven to heat.
Do not freeze.

Store in a cool, dry place.
Once sachet is opened, use immediately.
Once reconstituted, keep refrigerated and use within 24 hours. Shake or stir immediately before use.
