PKU GMPro Ultra Lemonade is a Food for Special Medical Purposes for use under medical supervision. PKU GMPro Ultra is a flavoured, nutritionally incomplete, low phenylalanine** powdered drink mix containing glycomacropeptide (GMP), with essential and non-essential amino acids, vitamins, minerals, trace elements and a small amount of carbohydrate and fat. With sugars and sweeteners.

**PKU GMPro Ultra contains 36mg of phenylalanine per 33.4g sachet. This should be taken into consideration as part of the overall dietary intake. Protein substitutes based on GMP are a natural source of phenylalanine.

Only to be used by individuals with proven phenylketonuria (PKU) and hyperphenylalaninaemia (HPA).

This product should not be used a sole source of protein but must be supplemented with a source of natural protein and other nutrients in medically prescribed quantities to supply the phenylalanine, fluid and general nutrition requirements of the patient.

The recommended dosage and timing of intake is dependent on the age, bodyweight and medical condition of the patient, and should be determined by a dietitian or clinician only.

The required daily amount should be divided into equal portions and distributed throughout the day. Water or diluted drinks should be offered or taken at the same time. To ensure tolerance the product may initially need to be introduced at a lower concentration. The quantity and dilution of this product can be adapted to the tolerance and preferences of the individual under supervision of a clinician or dietitian.

Recommended feed dilution:

33.4g of product made up to a final volume of approximately 210ml.

  • 1 sachet = 33.4g powder
  • 1 sachet + 180ml water = approximately 210ml
  • One sachet (33.4g) provides 20g protein equivalent

Best prepared with chilled water and consumed immediately after preparation.

Store in a cool, dry place.

Once sachet is opened, use immediately.
