Phlexy-10 Drink mix Citrus is a Food for Special Medical Purposes for the dietary management of proven phenylketonuria (PKU) in children from 1 year of age, and adults, including pregnant women. Phlexy-10 Drink mix is a phenylalanine-free, powdered drink mix, containing other essential and non-essential amino acids and carbohydrate. With sugars and sweetener.

For enteral use only. Not suitable as a sole source of nutrition.
Must be used under medical supervision.
Suitable for children over 1 year of age, and adults.
Only to be used by individuals with proven phenylketonuria (PKU) and hyperphenylalaninaemia (HPA).

This product should not be used as a sole source of protein but must be given in conjunction with natural protein and other nutrients to supply the phenylalanine, fluid and general nutrition requirements of the patient as prescribed by their healthcare professional.

The recommended dosage and timing of intake is dependent on the age, bodyweight and medical condition of the patient, and should be determined by a dietitian or clinician only.

The required daily amount should be divided into equal portions and distributed throughout the day. Water or diluted drinks should be offered or taken at the same time. The quantity and dilution of this product can be adapted to the tolerance and preferences of the individual under supervision of a clinician or dietitian.

Recommended feed dilution:
20g of product made up to a final volume of approximately 100ml with water.

  • 1 sachet = 20g powder
  • One portion (20g) provides 8.33g protein equivalent (PE)

Mix one sachet to a paste with a small amount of water.
Continue stirring whilst adding more water, up to a final volume of 100ml.
Best prepared with chilled water and consumed immediately after preparation.

This product is part of the Phlexy-10 system. These products are designed to be interchangeable: 8.33g PE (10g amino acids) are provided by:

A sachet of Phlexy-10 Drink mix or
10 Phlexy-10 Tablets

Store in a cool, dry place (less than 30°C).
Once sachet is opened, use immediately.
