Phlexy-10 Drink mix with apple blackcurrant flavor is food for medical use in proven phenylketonuria (PKU), for children from 1 year of age and adults, including pregnant women. The product is in powder form, and one box contains 30 sachets of 20 g (8.33 g protein equivalent per sachet).
Phlexy-10 Drink Mix is a phenylalanine-free drink mix containing other essential and non-essential amino acids and carbohydrate. With sugars and sweetener.
Allergens: contains soy.
Important notice:
For enteral use only. Not suitable as a sole source of nutrition. Must be used under medical supervision. Suitable for children over 1 years of age and adults. Only to be used by individuals with proven phenylketonuria (PKU) and hyperphenylalaninaemia (HPA).
Precautions: The product should not be used as a sole source of protein but must be given in conjunction with natural protein and other nutrients to supply protein, vitamins, minerals and other nutrients in medically prescribed quantities to supply the phenylalanine, vitamins, minerals and general nutrition requirements of the patient in medically prescribed quantities.
Suggested intake: The quantity of feed and the dilution should be determined by a clinician or dietitian only, and is dependent on age, bodyweight and medical condition of the patient.
Recommended feed concentration:
20g of product made up to a final volume of approximately 100ml with water.
Mix one sachet to a paste with a small amount of water.
Continue stirring whilst adding more water, up to a final volume of 100ml.
Best served chilled. Stir again before serving.
