PKU Anamix junior LQ berry is a ready to drink phenylalanine-free liquid, food for special medical purposes, for the dietary management of phenylketonuria (PKU) in children over 1 year of age. The product comes in 125ml bottles, 10g protein equivalent.
PKU Anamix junior LQ berry is a ready to drink phenylalanine-free liquid, containing a balanced mix of the other essential and non-essential amino acids, carbohydrates, fat, vitamins,minerals and trace elements. Contains docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). With sugars and sweetener.
Allergens: contains soy and walnut.
Important notice: For enteral use only. Not for parenteral use. Must be used under medical supervision. Not suitable as a sole source of nutrition. Suitable for children over 1 year of age. Only to be used by individuals with proven phenylketonuria (PKU) and hyperphenylalaninaemia (HPA).
Precautions: The product should not be used as a sole source of protein but must be given in conjunction with natural protein and other nutrients to supply the phenylalanine, fluid and general nutrition requirements of the patient in medically prescribed quantities.
Suggested intake: The recommended intake should be determined by a clinician or dietitian only, and is dependent on age, bodyweight, and medical condition of the patient. The required daily amount should be distributed throughout the day. Water or additional fluid should be offered or taken at the same time.
Shake well before use. Best served chilled.
Unopened: Store in a cool, dry place.
Opened: Store in a refrigerator and consume within 6 hours.
