PKU Anamix infant contains a combination of nutrients suitable for meeting your baby's nutritional needs from birth up to 3 years, as a supplementary feed. It is easy to prepare, and contains a unique* blend of fibres, scGOS/lcFOS(9:1)**. PKU Anamix infant also contains omega 3 fats (DHA***) and omega 6 fats (arachidonic acid).
PKU Anamix infant is a Food for Special Medical Purposes for the dietary management of proven phenylketonuria (PKU) in infants from birth to 12 months and as a supplementary feed up to 3 years. This product is in powder form.

For enteral use only. Not for parenteral use. Must be used under medical supervision. Not suitable as a sole source of nutrition. For use in infants and as a supplementary feed in young children. Only to be used by patients with proven phenylketonuria (PKU) and hyperphenylalaninaemia (HPA).
This product should not be used as a sole source of protein but must be given in conjunction with a protein source e.g. breast milk or proprietary infant formula to supply the phenylalanine, fluid and general nutritional requirements of the infant in quantities as prescribed by a clinician or dietitian.
The quantity of feed and the dilution should be determined by a clinician or dietitian only, and is dependent on age, bodyweight and medical condition of the patient.
Recommended feed concentration:
The recommended feed concentration is 15% w/v (15g of product made up to a final volume of approximately 100ml with water). Osmolality at this concentration is 380 mOsmol/kg H2O.
Use immediately after reconstitution. Formula must not be rewarmed during feeding.
Store in a cool, dry place.
Once opened, use within two weeks. Always replace container lid after use.
Prepared feed: Formula remaining in the bottle after one hour of feeding should be discarded.
